Police have not brought any charges against 40 year old Police Corporal Alexander Salam. He knocked down 69 year old Selvin Bahadur at mile 5 1/2 on the San Antonio Road in Toledo on Monday morning at 8:30. Bahadur was riding a bicycle and died from his injuries at the PG Hospital.
Salam - who is attached to the Belmopan formation - was in a government pickup with other police officers when the accident occurred. He has been served with a notice of intended prosecution and police say a urine sample was obtained and sent for testing.
