posted (June 21, 2018)
San Narciso businessman Omero Campos has been missing for four days and counting - and tonight, his family is gravely concerned because they haven't heard from him for two days. Today, Police told us he is being held captive - but wouldn't say much more:...

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"Mr. Campos remains missing and from all indications he have been kidnapped. We have police officers still on the ground, canvassing to see what can be picked up to be able to assist us in that investigation. Hopefully that may be able to lead us to his return safely home. There are several things that we are doing on the ground, which I will not say to the media, because we don't want to be able to give our full operational strategy to those who may have him captive. But we are on the grounds and we are doing several things to be able to assist in returning his safely home to his family."

Reporter
"Can you say definitively that the police department knows that this gentleman is still alive?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"I cannot say with certainty at this time, but I know that 2 days ago his wife spoke with him and he was in good spirit and good health. So we are hoping and we are praying that he is alive and we are trying or best to return him safely to his family."

Reporter
"Have you then enlisted the help of Mexican authorities or anybody else?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"Yes we have done that."

Reporter
"Is it the information that police have that he is indeed being held in Mexico?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"We cannot say if he is in Mexico or in Belize territory, but we continue to look at the investigation."

Reporter
"Do you know the nature of the phone call between the wife and...?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"Not going to go into specifics."

Reporter
"The family had said that they were raising money for the ransom. Do you know if that - can you speak about that?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"Not going to discuss that either."

Reporter
"Was he involved in underworld activities?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"Not going to answer that question either."

Reporter
"Are you all creating any nexus between the location of his farm and certain night time flights?"

DCP Chester Williams, Commander - Operations
"As investigators we cannot rule out any possibilities. We have to look at all possible angles and if we want to conduct an intensive investigation we have to explore every possibility and that's what we are doing."

According to reports, two days ago, his captors wanted to do an exchange of Campos for the ransom figure, but it couldn't work out. His family is waiting very anxiously to hear from him. Reportedly, his abductors have called from a Mexican number.
