Senior Citizen Foils “Play-Play” Police Plot
posted (June 22, 2018)
And while those robbers were dressed like students, two robbers who went to jack a 78 year old at his Lord's Bank home were dressed like police!

78-year-old Allan McKoy told police that last Friday night he was at his home on Old Well Road when two men came and knocked on his door pretending to be police officers. One was dressed in the standard police uniform, the other posed as a CIB officer. They told the elderly man that they had a warrant to search his home. But McKoy wasn't born yesterday, and he asked them to see the search warrant, and then told them he will call the Ladyville Police to cross check. That's when both men ran off.

Tonight, police say they are 21-year-old Harry Stanley Montero, and 22-year-old Shemar Nunez. They appeared before the Belize City Magistrate's Court today where they were arraigned for impersonating a police officer.

They both pleaded not guilty and were both offered bail in the sum of $1,000 each. They are due back in Court on August 28th.
