Lemonal Land Dispute Goes Legal
posted (June 26, 2018)
On last week Friday's news, we told you about that high-profile land dispute in Lemonal village. Two residents, Tony Anthony, and Sharon Mae Whylie, wife of Police Commissioner Allen Whylie, are claiming ownership of the same piece of land, and neither of the 2 sides are backing down.

Things came to a head last week when police arrived on scene to secure the land and keep the peace on behalf of Sharon Whylie. But, because she is married to the police boss, Anthony asserts that the police have been biased, and these agents of the state are being used to take advantage of him.

Well, Sharon Whylie and her attorney, Bryan Neal, turned up the heat on Anthony yesterday with a lawyer letter telling him to vacate the property, remove the structures his built on it, and stay off, or else, they will take legal action against him.

In a letter to Anthony, dated January 25, 2018, Neal wrote, telling him that he is illegally trespassing on his client's property.

Neal said, quote, "My Client is the owner of approximately 1.2 acres of land in Lemonal Village….I am instructed that you have trespassed on my client's land and you have illegally maintained a small pig farm on the said property. Furthermore, you have threatened my client's surveyor as well as workers, and my client herself, when they attempted to erect survey markers, and a fence to prevent your illegal encroachment." End quote.

Neal goes on to demand that Anthony remove any and all structures from his client's property on or before July 8, 2018. After that, Anthony is being instructed to stop entering Whylie's property altogether.

Neal closes, "If you do not comply, I have advised my client to destroy anything which is on her property, and to apply to the Supreme Court for relief for which you will be liable to pay costs. Also if you chose to interfere, threaten, or destroy my client's survey markers or her fence, we will file a criminal complaint, and have you prosecuted as far as the law allows." End quote.

So, that's where it is at this time, Anthony has 2 weeks to remove all his investments, including his pen with over two dozen pigs, and if he doesn't, Whylie will take action against him. We don't have any word yet about how Anthony intends to respond.
