BNE Plays Big Brother To Region 1
posted (June 26, 2018)
Just before our commercial break, you saw Senior Superintendent Howell Gillett interacting with the youths from the Wagner's Youth facility after they graduated from the Police Department's Gang Resistance Education and Training (GREAT).

Well, later today, Gillett received a cheque for $8,000 from the BNE Charitable Trust. The money will be used to fund summer programs for at-risk youths in Belize City. By now, you'll know very well that Gillett, with the backing of his police bosses, pushes very hard to provide outreach programs for the kids in his Region 1.

At the handing over event, the Chairman of the BNE Charitable Trust said that saying yes to this donation was very easy:

As you heard, 200 Belize City kids will benefit from these summer programs.
