Verris Gets Off One Charge, Murder Still Pending
posted (July 10, 2018)
Three men got off a robbery and an aggravated assault charge in court today. They are 25 year old Trevor Guy, 24 year old Verris Ventura and 19 year old Steve Ferrell. They were able walk free because the complainant in this case, Chun Mei Lui is out of the country and will not return.

The incident occurred on August 7, 2017 at Brother's Store in Lord's Bank. Lui reported to the police that she was behind the counter when three men entered, one of them armed with a 9 millimeter pistol. She said the gunman struck her on her head with the handle of the gun then pointed it at one of her employees. His accomplices then stole the cash pan with $350 and two cellular phones.

So while that is good news for Guy and Ferrell - it is not over for Verris Ventura because he still has to answer to a murder charge. Ventura was yesterday charged for the May 2018 murder of Jason Sutherland.
