And, in the city, an innocent bystander was shot last night in a gang feud. 34 year old Ambrosa Bernardez’s shoulder was shattered by a gunshot when she was sitting with some friends near Queen Square Primary School.
It happened around 8:00 when a man rode up to her group on a small bicycle and opened fire – hitting Bernardez to the shoulder. Twelve nine mm expended shells were found on the ground. But, residents in the area told us they may not have all been from the shooter’s gun. Apparently, a policeman who lives in the area fired on the shooter - which forced him to run off. We saw bullett holes through the siding of one structure.
Police have a known suspect who was likely targeting members of a rival gang.
