The Belize Basketball Federation today presented the team that will represent Belize at this weekend's FIBA Americup Qualifiers for the COCABA region, which is Central America.
The three day tournament will be held at the Civic Center in Belize City from Friday to Sunday and the team says they are ready to defend their home court. We found out more about the tournament and the Belizean roster at a press conference earlier today.
Out of six Central American countries only three will be participating. Belize will face off against El Salvador on Friday, then it's Costa Rica against El Salvador on Saturday, followed by Belize versus Costa Rica on Sunday. This Qualifier will determine who moves on to the continental championships set to conclude by 2021.
Tickets are available at the Belize Civic Centre at $60 for court-side seats, $40 for VIP and $20 for general admission.
