Helping Mahogany Heights
posted (July 19, 2018)
Water is the source of all life but this fact often goes overlooked in the comfort of the everyday knowledge that when we turn the tap, water will be there. Not so for the villagers of Mahogany Heights. The community has been continuously experiencing problems with their water lines as a result of substantial leakage of underground pipes. The problem got to a critical level last week, where it left the over 250 households of Mahogany Heights virtually without access to water.

Today, NEMO announced that it is embarking on a project to restore the water supply to the community. The works began today with the assistance of a backhoe from NEMO that is being used to carry out some urgent repairs to the waterline. The works are also being done in conjunction with the Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development and Area Rep Beverly Williams.
