A marimba group out of Benque Viejo, flew out of Belize today en-route to Taiwan. They are to participate in the upcoming cultural and folklore music festival in the island nation. Today the band stopped by the Taiwan embassy for a short briefing of the Taiwan cultural experience and to prepare them for the culture shock of a month on tour in a foreign land. There we took the opportunity to speak with band members to ask them about their upcoming performance in Taiwan.
Hijos del West, which is the band's group name, will be in Taiwan for the Yilan International Children's Folkgame and Folklore Festival at the Dongshan River Water Park which runs for an entire month. They band is scheduled to return to Belize on the 23rd of August.
