Phil’s Forthwith Resignation
posted (July 23, 2018)
Last week we told you that UDP political aspirant Phillip Willoughby was being made to resign from NEMO if he wanted to pursue has candidacy in a Port Loyola convention. And so he did, Willoughby submitted his resignation, with a nice three months' notice taking him up to mid-October, when he would slide into a November convention.

But, sources tell us that cozy plan got shot down - and Willoughby was made to resign forthwith.

So, he sent his CEO Ruth Meighan a letter today saying he's resigning at the end of this week. This puts him at a disadvantage, because Willoughby will be unemployed as of next week and going into a convention against Attorney General Mike Peyrefitte - who is expected to have a "cash-y" campaign. Willoughby will have to lean on the backing of his patron, Deputy Party Leader Patrick Faber who is supporting his candidacy, and possibly even John Saldivar who is also backing him in the hopes of neutralizing any leadership challenge from Peyreffite.
