Court Found Lemoth Killed, But Without Intent
posted (July 23, 2018)
And in a somewhat similar case, accused murderer 29 year old Justin Lemoth was found guilty of the lesser charge of manslaughter today.

Justice Adolph Lucas delivered the verdict today. Lemoth was initially charged with the 2014 murder of 17 year old Richard Waight Jr. Justice Lucas said that the Crown, represented by Senior Crown Counsel Shanice Lovell, did not prove that when Lemoth stabbed Waight he had the specific intention to kill. Waight was fatally stabbed to his chest with a knife during a fight on a basketball court in Hattieville in April 2014. Lemoth gave a statement from the dock in which he said he made a stab motion because someone threw a stone at him and another person stomped at him.

Lemoth's sentencing has been deferred until August 7th to give his attorney, Leslie Hamilton, time to prepare a plea for mitigation.
