posted (July 24, 2018)
It made headlines three years ago when Orvin Wade stabbed his common law, 25 year old Keisha Buller, a customs officer, to death. Well, tonight, Wade has been pronounced guilty and is awaiting a sentence from Justice Antionette Moore who delivered her verdict yesterday.

The murder happened in July of 2015 in Benque Viejo. The prosecution's main witness Gertrude Humes - Keisha's grandmother - saw it all unfold. She testified that she was in her room when she heard an argument between her granddaughter and Wade. When she came out of her room to see what was the ruckus, she saw her granddaughter dash out of a a room bleeding.

Buller then ran to the gate with Wade chasing behind her. He caught her and continued to stab her. Grandmother Gertrude said she tried to hold Wade's hand to stop him, but he just continued. A post-mortem examination showed that he stabbed Buller 54 times. This happened in front of Keisha's grandmother and the couple's four year old son.

Wade testified and gave an alibi - where he claimed he never went to the house that morning. He said that he met Buller at Santa Elena Gas Station, then he went to visit a female friend. Wade did not call any witness to support his alibi.

Justice Moore found him guilty of murder and she will sentence him on August 29th. Wade was defended by attorney Joseph Danilczyk. The prosecutor was Senior Crown Counsel Cecil Ramirez assisted by Crown Counsel Natasha Mohamed.

Keishe Buller had been a customs officer for 6 years, and was posted n Benque Viejo. She was killed on the very last day of her posting in Benque - reportedly in a jealous dispute.
