Two Brothers Killed In PG Fatal
posted (July 25, 2018)

Last night we had the late breaking story just outside of Punta Gorda Town, where a car overturned, resulting in multiple casualties. Well, we can report tonight that there were 4 men in the vehicle, and 2 died from massive injuries they suffered when they were flung from the car.

It happened just before 6:00, 10 miles outside of Punta Gorda Town. That's where they found this flattened 4-door Toyota Corolla car, extensively damaged. It appeared as though the vehicle flipped several times before coming to a complete stop.

28 year-old Jamie Archer, his 27 year-old brother Anthony Alfonso Archer, 20 year-old Darian Romero, and 17 year-old Jerry Cruz had all been flung from the car and were unconscious on the side of the road.  But, when we told you about the accident last night - the report was that only three men were involved.  That's because police didn't find the fourth passenger until three hours later: he is Jamie Archer - and he was deep in the bushes, dead. His brother was Anthony had been found dead at the scene.  The other two men were critical.

This afternoon, our colleagues from PGTV spoke with the officer commanding Toledo and he shared a few details about the deaths of the brothers Anthony and Jaime Archer:

ASP Francisco Ack - OC, PG Police
"On Tuesday 24th July 2018 at 5:55 PM acting upon information received Punta Gorda police visited between miles 12 and 13 on the San Antonio Road near the San Marcus village road. Upon arrival they observed a grey in colour Toyota Camry extensively damaged on the left hand side of the road when travelling to dump area. At the same time they observed the body of 3 male persons lying down on the grass. One of them of them appeared to be motionless and the other 2 were barely responsive. Upon making further checks police realized that Dorian Romero and Jerry Cruz were severely injured, they had sustained head and body injuries. Upon arrival at the hospital, Anthony Alfonso Archer was pronounced dead by the doctor while Dorian and Jerry were listed in a critical condition. About 8:30 same evening information received that there were 4 male persons inside the wrecked car. So based on that information police went back to the scene and upon making further searches in the area they found the body of Jamie Archer lying down motionless in the grass several feet away from the wrecked car. He was transported to the Punta Gorda hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. Currently Dorian and Jerry are at the KHMH receiving treatment in a stable condition. At this moment the police is uncertain as to who was driving the car and what may have caused the vehicle to turn over several times which resulted into what we have before us now the death of 2 male persons and the injuries or Dorian and Jerry."

All 4 men are from Forest Home, a community just outside of Punta Gorda Town. Darian Romero and Jerry Cruz are currently hospitalized at the KHMH.
