Brian Brown Arrested For Death Threat To Mom, Causes Commotion
posted (July 26, 2018)
Notorious George Street figure Brian Brown is in police custody tonight pending threat of death and other charges. He's accused of threatening to kill his own mother. But it wasn't easy detaining him - this morning after 11:00, Brown and those in his well fortified compound put up a fight. That caused a huge commotion on Jimmy Dyer Street which is off Faber's Road Extension. Now the residents and police have very different versions of what happened. We start off with the Brown's disgruntled common law wife as she explains how police dragged her and Brown down the stairs. She also shared a short video which you will see in the interview. It shows her on top of the roof asking the police why they want to detain Brown. Here is her side of the story.

Shermaine Reneau, Brown's Common Law Wife
"Three police officers came in the gate and said Mr. Brown we need to talk to you."

"He asked them talk to him for what, they didn't give any reason just that they want to talk to him."

"One spell they told him you have to come with us for something and he refused so they called for back-up two trucks came, one from left, one from right."

"I was on the roof, he has a garage, I was on top of that so Mr. Caliz came out of the truck and start open up the school bag, came to the gate and threw a tear gas, I just saw smoke so when I saw that I got off the roof and I went inside the house."

"They got in the house, for a little while I stayed inside the room to let the tear gas kinda disappear, then I opened the room door, by the time I got out of the room, I had a phone in my hand and the other one up, one of the officers got a gun pointed at me about 4 or 5 of them were in the house, if not more, all guns out pointed at me. One of the officers said get on the ground. I was in shock I couldn't even move so when I didn't move, the same officer that was in front of me took me and slam me on the ground while a GSU officer took me by my clothes and drag me all the way outside down the steps."

"I left Brian inside on the bed, he was bleeding."

"Then all of them went into the room, I don't know what they did to Brian, I have no idea."

"They dragged him by his foot down the steps, through the walkway, through the pavement that we have in the yard, then it look like they got a sheet that was on my line and put him in so when they came out with him. They put him on the street like he was dead."

Reneau says that the police also pepper sprayed her. But that is not the end of the story. According to other residents, the police roughed up and detained a 16 year old boy and then pepper sprayed Reneau's and Brown's 13 year old son. Here is that account.

"They rush upstairs when they rush upstairs they threw another tear gas in the house and what I didn't say in the other interview is that they pepper sprayed the mother and his son both there, the little boy in red, they detained this minor, this one in white, this is his mother they took him and drag him over the fence."

"Look in his back, watch it, this is the foot print from where they are stamping him, beating him in his face."

Voice of: 16 year old
"My mom came and when my mom come they said they would take me and when I got here all those who walked in just slapped me and a Spanish one stamp me in my back hard making my face slam against a cupboard that was there. They just slap me up and trip on me and one of them said he has 21 bullets for me and he will come right by my court."
