Police Shot Two Teenaged Robbers While Running Down Guns
posted (July 27, 2018)
Last night we had the late breaking story of how police ran down a trio of robbers in the Lord Ridge Cemetery. The three males had just robbed a security guard on Antelope extension of two pistols. Here's what happened. At around 6:20, 34 year old security guard Dion Gentle had just arrived at his workplace, the Harpie Security office on Antelope Street Extension. He had two 38 revolvers and a radio in a bag.

That's when two men pounced on him - one put a gun to his head - and the other took the bag. They ran off - but there's a fixed police presence right in that area. Two alert constables on foot patrol saw the trio of men dashing through the cemetery and pursued them. But, the robbers didn't stop so the police fired on them, hitting two of them in their legs.

From there, all three were subdued and police recovered the two 38 revolvers. It turns out that two of the robbers were minors, aged 16 and 17 - and they were also the ones who were shot. The other is 23 year old Garry Montero. The minors were hospitalized and placed under police guard pending charges, while Montero is held pending charges.
