A Corozal man has reportedly died this evening, after he was knocked down this weekend. Around 6:30 on Saturday, 31 year old Armando Uitz was riding his bicycle on College Road when a Kia Sorento hit him from behind. The driver sped off leaving Uitz badly injured on the side of the road. He was critical, but late reports say he has now passed.
But, at least the driver suspected of running him over has been found. The Kia Sorento and the driver are in custody. Here's more from police.

"On Saturday shortly after 8 pm police responded to information of a traffic accident on college road in Corozal town where upon arrival a male person later identified as Armando Witz, 31 years of a G street south address Corozal Town was seen lying on the side of the road and beside him his bicycle which was extensively damaged. According to police investigation, Armando Witz was riding from a west to east direction when he was hit from behind by a vehicle. Police 
investigation has since led to one Kia Sorento being impounded since this morning and the owner is in police custody pending investigation into this traffic accident."
The Kia was found this morning in Ranchito Village.
