Last month, the pump prices of Diesel went down by 22 cents. It was a welcomed relief from the punishing fuel prices over the last few months, and the Government is announcing that it will now decrease by an additional 22 cents.
The Ministry of Finance announced today that by midnight tonight, the new price of diesel in the city will be $10.53 per gallon.
The price per gallon of premium gas, regular gasoline, and kerosene oil will go unchanged.
The diesel price decrease came about because this shipment was ordered some weeks ago, when world oil prices were in moderate decline.
And while that's the good news, the bad news is that the diesel price decrease will be short-lived. The Ministry of Finance cautions, as it did last month that the world oil prices are climbing again due to to tensions in the Middle East.
