Two men have reportedly been detained for questioning in connection with the robbery of CP Gas Station on the Phillip Goldson Highway.
The suspects, reportedly from the Antelope Street, were identified when the footage went viral and was circulated on the media and to Whatsapp newsgroups. Police got a tip and detained two men who resemble those in the video.
Yesterday morning at 7:40, they entered the gas station unmasked and proceeded to try and rob the owner who put up a heroic fight to try and fend them off. The young robbers ganged up on him, beat him on the head and pistol whipped him - but he didn't give up, and continued to fight them off. They pushed his mother to the ground, and then were forced to run off without taking anything.
