And while Kelly was in Mexico teaching police there, the #2 Cop Chester Williams is in New Orleans learning how to cure violence. He's attending an event organized by a group named just that, Cure Violence. They treat violence just like doctors treat an outbreak of a disease: they go to the infected person, and try to cure him or her before he spreads it, and before it turns into an epidemic.

"Ill be out of the country for a week going to New Orleans to attend CURE Violence workshop. It is myself and a delegation from Belize will be going to that event. Whatever I learn when I go on any training I always ensure that I look the best practices and whatever is conducive for us in Belize I will adapt it. We will try to see how we can take whatever we learn somewhere and we bring it into our department and ensure that we make our functions much better."
Williams will be back by this weekend.
