Last night we told you how - based on the circulation of a surveillance video - police had found two suspects for the CP Gas Station attempted robbery.
Well, today they were charged and tonight we can tell you that they are 19 year old Kyle Mariano Perez, and 20 year old Tyrique Leon Swaso.
They were jointly charged for Attempted robbery and Wounding. Swaso was additionally charged for the crime of Damage to Property for breaking the glass door.
On Monday morning at 7:40, the pair entered the gas station unmasked and tried to rob the owner who put up a heroic fight to try to fend them off. The young robbers ganged up on him, beat him on the head and pistol whipped him - but he didn't give up, and continued to fight them off. They pushed his mother to the ground, and then were forced to run off without taking anything.
