Between 70 to one hundred kids participated in this year's Smart Stars Summer Camp program. Kids from 4 to 15 years of age, both male and female, were taught the basics of football over the course of a 2 week training program. They were drilled by local star athletes under the guidance of coach and camp coordinator Stanley "Jordan" Reneau. Today we stopped by to speak with their main sponsor who has been hosting this event for the past ten years.
The summer camp program ends on Friday when prizes and medals will be awarded to some of the outstanding youth athletes.
