Police didn't want to discuss it today but there was a shooting in Belize City last night. It's news to us because it happened between Rocky Road and Berkley Street, which is a contested area between rival gangs that has seen violence for years.
Just after 7:00, a shooter from one of the rival groups is reported to have fired as many as eight shots in the general direction of the opposing gang. Fortunately no one was hit, but a house in the area took a number of shots.
