Crescent City Contingent Looking For The Cure
posted (August 2, 2018)
And while those police are learning about managing mental health within a stressed out department, a contingent of police, security personnel and social workers are in New Orleans to find a cure for violence in the wider community. We told you about the training two nights ago when we spoke to Deputy Commissioner Chester Williams. Today, we were provided with a group shot which shows the entire contingent, led by Minister of Human Development, Anthony Boots Martinez and his CEO Judith Alpuche, Minister of State for National Security, Elodio Aragon, Deputy Compol Williams and Southside Commander, Senior Superintendent Howell Gillett.

They are at a "Cure Violence" conference - which is a US organization that treats violence like health experts do sickness - reaching out to the infected to contain the spread of a disease. The tip is sponsored by the IDB.
