Land of the Rising Sun Reps In Belize

Members of Japan's House of Representatives are in Belize on a courtesy visit. The delegation includes members of Japan's Parliamentary Committee on Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism. It was headed by Chairman Akihiro Nishimura. They met with Minister of Transport and National Emergency Management Edmond Castro. Later on they met with Prime Minister Dean Barrow and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington. The delegation is also doing site visits to the National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO), the Belize National Fire Service, and the Belize Police Department.

In a release is states that "the objective is to strengthen bilateral relations and plan for the World Expo 2025 to be held in Osaka/Kansai, Japan.
