Woman Fires Licensed Weapon Outside Another Woman’s Home
posted (August 3, 2018)
Shots were fired on Cedar Street last night but no one was hurt. But this wasn't any gang warfare; it was a domestic case. A man seems to have taken his common law wife - and her licensed gun - to settle a dispute with his daughter's mother.

Police are calling it an aggravated burglary. Around 8:00, 41 year old Barbara Myers was at her mother's Cedar Street home with her family when a woman walked towards the front door, took a gun from her waist and pointed it at them. She then fired a single shot in the air and walked away. No one was injured but Police recovered one expended .380 shell and live .380 rounds.

Apparently, what preceded this was a visit from the father of Myers's daughter. They had an argument and the father left only to return with his common law wife, her mother, and sister. A bigger argument ensued, the common law allegedly pulled out her licensed firearm and pointed it in Myers face. She ten pointed it in the air, and let off a shot. We understand the common law has been detained.
