PUP CITCO Says UDP Minister Took Their Equipment
posted (August 6, 2018)
The City Council says it's missing some heavy equipment - and an internal report from the council says Minister Anthony Boots Martinez basically took it from the council.

It's called a special Audit Inspection for heavy equipment that is unaccounted for - and can't be found. The report says, quote, "Based on information gathered the equipment form part of a fleet of equipment for the Council that arrived in 2015 but as of today, 2018 the Council still haven't seen the equipment, nor have they been returned to the Council."

It's a Bulldozer, a Bobcat and a Gooseneck Trailer that carried the bulldozer. The equipment cost $173,000 when the council got it in 2015 as a grant from the government. And while the council has it listed among its assets, no one there can seem to find it - and everyone only remembers that Minister Martinez's workers came for them, or that they were parked in a lot he controls at mile three and a half.

Today, Martinez would only say it's much ado about nothing - and told us he would comment further later in the week. He stressed, though, that he doesn't have the equipment.
