Three Years Later, City Council Bulldozer Appears
posted (August 7, 2018)
Last night we told you about the three costly pieces of heavy equipment that have been missing from the City Council for more than three years.

Well, tonight we have a major update. But our story has to start at the end, with the news that one piece of the missing equipment - a Bulldozer - magically turned up this afternoon and is in the city council's compound.

The Deputy Mayor spoke to us about it by phone this evening:...

Oscar Arnold, Deputy Mayor - Belize City Council
"My works' manager had received a call from an individual he only knows as Malic - that the bulldozer is on a trailer and it can be picked up or it can be delivered at the Cisco Works Department on the George Price Highway. So I ask him to reconfirm because I would like to go to pick it up to find out exactly where it was being housed. We didn't have a vehicle readily available at the Citco compound, but that the individual would then have it delivered by 1:30pm this afternoon at our Works compound. Sure enough that was done - there was a bulldozer on a trailer that went missing from about 2014-2015. He was also informed that the Bobcat that was also missing was being repaired somewhere in UnitedVille and that after the repairs were done, that the individual will also pay to get it delivered for the Citco compound."

"I am still trying to come to grips as to how all of this could have happened. The only conclusion I can draw is that something criminal took place and if not criminal, then something unethical really took place that robbed the 70,000 plus residents of Belize City."
