Cowo also had an update on the apparent arson that started a massive fire in San Pedro. He says no one has been detained but they are collecting statements:...

"There were threats made to the home owner prior to the incident. Where is police in terms of that investigation of that fire in Boca del Rio?"
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Well, that investigation is still underway. Yes, after consulting and speaking with the fire-department personnel, they were the ones that advice the police, indeed it was a case of arson. The type of incendiary or the accelerant or what-so-ever was used, it was up to them to determine what type it was. That has to be taken to the lab for the lab to determine what was it that was used. There has been no person detained so far and there is no suspect at this moment."

"But the female has not given a name? I heard she gave a specific name to police."

"Well, she had given a statement to police and that is what police is working with at this moment."
87 people and 10 families were left homeless by the fire which destroyed 10 structures.
