And back to Belmopan, hours before Franklin Tut's throat was slashed, 32 year old Ronnie Daly was stabbed to the neck on Roseapple Street in Belmopan. Information is that Daly was with two other guys in a vehicle when a man called out to him. When Daly went to greet him, the man stabbed him in his neck. Here is more from police.

"Shortly before 7:00 PM on Saturday the 11th of August Belmopan police was called to the Western Regional Hospital where they observed the lifeless body of a male person later identified as Ronnie Daly 32 years of Cotton Tree village with an apparent stab wound on the right side of this neck. Initial investigation revealed that the deceased was in the company of two other person travelling on Rose Apple Street in Belmopan when he alighted the vehicle he was travelling in where he had a discussion with a male person who later inflicted the injuries to him. In this regard the police is also looking for a main suspect in connection to this investigation."

"Could you say whether the suspect was from the vehicle or was he someone...."

"He was not in the vehicle."

"Are you able to say what is the connection between the victim and this main suspect sir? Are they friends? That was the suggestion."

"We do not know at this point in time but we know that from our investigation the victim was called by the suspect that caused him to alight the vehicle and the discussion was held."

"Have police been able to determine the nature of this discussion? Was it a disagreement?"

"Seem to have been a disagreement from what was gathered."
Police are also looking for a named suspect. Daly is also known as Ronnie Blades. He had been working with the Ministry of Public Service for 4 years up until late last year.
