Today was a day of celebration for the National Women’s Volleyball Team. Last week they made Belize proud after a monumental upset against Costa Rica, followed by a nail-biting victory against Guatemala, ultimately securing second place in the Central American Senior Women’s Volleyball Championship – right on our home court at the Belize Civic Center. This afternoon, the National Sports Council and Government of Belize hosted a motorcade in their honor. Here is more from that celebration.
Sports Minister Patrick Faber joined the team at Marion Jones Stadium for the parade as well as members of the Sports Council.
