President Sharp also spoke about the cost of tournament. It costs about 200 thousand Belize dollars, with another 200 thousand as direct expenses for the tournament itself – without Honduras coming. Sharp admits Government has not made any contributions to date though it has promised to do so. But given a platform for his wish list, he called for purpose-built facilities and direct funding for sporting organization secretariats.
Sharp also mentioned planned direct assistance for educational expenses for members of the team.
