Maskall Teenager Charged for Stabbing Friend

Over the weekend 20 year-old Maskall resident Samuel Torres was attacked by a friend in a disagreement that turned violent. 

That friend, 18-year-old student Eric Sanchez of Maskall Village has been arrested and charged for the crime of wounding. According to police, Torres and Sanchez met on Kiskidee Street on Sunday night and began to argue then fight. Sanchez is then accused of stabbing Torres twice to the chest.

This afternoon, Sanchez who was brought to court in the police mobile from the Ladyville Police Station was arraign before Senior Magistrate, Aretha Ford in Court #2.

He was read a single charge of wounding upon farmer, Samuel Torres who was stabbed during an altercation at the Maskall junction.

In court, Sanchez pleaded not guilty to the charge.

There was no objection to bail being granted to him by the Police Prosecutor, Sergeant Macedonio Sanchez and bail was offered to him in the sum of $1,000 plus one surety of the same which he was able to meet by 4:00 this evening.

Eric Sanchez next court date on the matter is set for October 29, 2018.
