PG Boy Stabbed to Stomach in Knife Fight
posted (August 16, 2018)

A half hour after Belmopan police were responding to that fire in Camalote, PG cops had to respond to a knife brawl among 3 male minors.

Police reports suggest that 2 of them are friends, and they were going about their business, when a third young man spotted them, and started to aggress them.

He allegedly pulled out a knife, and attempted to stab one of the two companions, but they managed to turn the knife on him, and they injured him instead. Here’s what the police had to say about the incident today:

ACP Joseph Myvette
"Last night, shortly after 7:30 p.m., Punta Gorda Police responded to information of a stabbing in the area of Punta Gorda. It was reported to them that 2 minors were riding on separate bicycles in the Indianvilla area where they were approached by a third person, who aggressed one of the minors, and in the process, attempted to stab him. The knife was eventually taken away from him, where this person started stoning the individuals, and as a result, he received 1 stab wound to the right side of his abdomen. He is identified as Albert Rhamdas, of Punta Gorda Town. He was transported to the Southern Regional Hospital, and later to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for treatment. The person who inflicted the injury is in police custody, and he's been interviewed in the presence of his parents at this time."
