Pickup Flips While Dodging Cyclist
posted (August 21, 2018)
There was an accident early this evening at mile eight on the George Price Highway. A Ford Ranger extended cab, veered off the road and flipped at mile eight. Fortunately, no one was hurt.

Around 4:00, the driver was traveling from Punta Gorda to Belize City. He says he was only driving thirty miles an hour when a bicycle rider tried to dash across the road to avoid his pickup and an oncoming vehicle. To avoid a collision with either the bike or the oncoming vehicle - he swerved away and ended up off the road where he hit a lamppost which snapped. From there his vehicle rolled over a few times and ended up on its cab. The driver told us he had no injury. He blames it on the bicycle rider.
