posted (August 21, 2018)
A 17 year old who spent his childhood in Belize has been brutally murdered in Chicago's killing spree. Darnelle Flowers - who is the son of Melanie Reneau - was found shot to death in a wooded area on the Far South Side of Chicago on Sunday at midnight.

Flowers - who was known as "Bibby" - had gone missing on Friday night along with 16 year old Raysaun Turner - who was also found dead. The double murder is said to be gang related, and could have been a robbery.

The Chicago Tribune reports that "Darnelle Flowers had been arrested by Chicago Police seven times before his death on charges related to weapons, carjacking and battery. He was previously held at the Cook County juvenile detention center and was a documented gang member, a police source said." The other victim, Turner had no criminal history.

His murder became the 346th in Chicago this year.

Our reports say Flowers was born in Belize and migrated to Chicago with his mother about 8 to 10 years ago.
