The local charity organization, known as Group Hug, distributed backpacks with school supplies to 240 deserving students on Saturday.
It's their 4th annual Back-to-School Backpack Drive, and the distribution took place at the Memorial Park in Belize City and at the community basketball court in Hattieville. Group Hug
The organization was aiming to distribute 200 backpacks, and they were well over their target, making this year's drive a success.
Group has been doing its community work since 2015, and in that time 840 children have benefited from the backpack drives.
