"In comparison to other countries in the region, Belize's 0.5% increase sits as lowest inflation rate for the month of July 2018. Dominican Republic and Nicaragua reported the highest at 5.2%, with Mexico not far behind with 4.8% and then Jamaica at 3.2% increase."
Again, that doesn't mean the cost of living is lower in Belize than in neighboring countries, simply that prices in our food basket, which may be comparatively high, are just more stable.
