But who we haven’t heard from is Music Ambassador Shyne Barrow. He’s the first one who publicly challenged Budhrani on August 21st, questioning her competence and integrity. The timing is interesting because in a letter dated 20th August Budhrani wrote Barrow asking him to provide invoices for 35 thousand dollars spent on music week. It was dated the 20th, but Shyne said he got that letter hand delivered at 5:30 pm - on the 21st - hours after the spoke to the press.
So, are the two things related - did President Budhrani send the letter to harass Ambassador Shyne after his outspoken interview? That’s what we asked today:…

"But you've seen a leak of a letter you sent to Shyne Barrow on the 20th of August where you complained to him that they had not been a proper accounting of the funds - the 35 thousand dollars spent on music week. Now it would seem while there is certainly enough to go on your letter; however it would seem that it might have been something that you calculated as vindictive act or as an act of retaliation - that is the day after he made a public attack on you."

I think everybody wants to know the answer to all of those questions, I think in reference to that letter that was sent to the Music Ambassador - that was sent to the Music Ambassador that was planned to be sent prior to anything, it has nothing, it's not one related to the other."

"The letter that madam president sent to the Musical Ambassador was based on a recommendation from the board. The board said funds are given to these different institutions, they have to be accountable to it."
Shyne has shown us emails showing that this matter was settled in July - to the President’s satisfaction and she said “thanks for the clarification.”
He also concludes that the letter was hand delivered on the 21st - and not emailed - to make it seem that it was indeed prepared and sent on the 20th - the day before his interview.
