Underwoods Got Off Bogus Bullet Charge
posted (September 5, 2018)
Brother Alex and Austin Underwood were arrested in October of last year for a single round of ammunition. We reported at the time what the family told us, that it was a bogus charge - and today that was proven in court when the prosecution was forced to withdraw the case on instruction from the Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser.

At a case management conference two weeks ago with Chief Magistrate Fraser, the Underwood's attorney, Dickie Bradley, submitted that there was not sufficient evidence to warrant a conviction and today the Chief Magistrate instructed that the charge be withdrawn.

The issue was that four members of the police's special assignment team searched the family yard without any of the residents being present.

They claim to have found one 2.23 caliber round in a blue plastic bag on the fence. After the find, the police went to the house and arrested only the brothers, although there were others who were at the premises at the time.

According to a report, the police officers had gone to the residence earlier that same day before they executed the search. Members of the Underwood family believe that's when the police planted the bullet.
