There's a new international flight headed to Belize - and it's coming out of a place you might not expect, Minneapolis, Minnesota in the American upper midwest.
The Belize Tourism Board has partnered with Sun Country Airlines to offer these first ever seasonal non-stop flights to Belize.
Starting on December 22, 2018, Sun Country will operate roundtrip flights once weekly on Saturdays between Minneapolis/St. Paul and the PGIA.
The flight will run up until April 20, 2019.
The BTB says it's an area of the U.S. that can really benefit from easy access to a tropical Belizean vacation when winter comes.
