Police say they are looking into all sides in this case.

As a result the police visited the San Ignacio community hospital where they observed one Daniel Alford, 42 years security guard with apparent gunshot injuries to the abdomen. Mr. Alford later succumbed to his injuries whilst undergoing treatment. Initial police investigation revealed that Mr. Alford was somewhere on the Pine Ridge Road behind Georgeville Village when he got shot. "So at this time can you confirm what the actual report is? Was it actually hunting and if it was an accidental shooting or you can't say at this time?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"At this point, no there are several statements indicating though that he left home sometime shortly around 5:00 PM with a shotgun. There are also conflicting reports saying he does not own a shotgun and did not leave with one. However, these things are in statements recorded from witnesses; hence the reason it is being classified as a death investigation and this is still an ongoing investigation."

Police found a 16 gauge shot gun on scene. The post mortem was conducted today.
