A 65 year old Corozal woman was apparently struck by lightning. Delia Aguilar didn't survive the strike. It happened on Sunday morning around 10:30. Aguilar was doing some yard work with her machete at her Ranchito village home when she was struck. Her daughter went to the back yard only to find her mother's dead body. The machete and wet conditions may have acted as conductors for the lightning strike.a
