And, in another update to a crime story from last week, as we told you 24 year-old Wayne Welch was charged last week Friday for shooting 23 year old Dawn Parchue.
Today police discussed why he allegedly did it.
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Like we had mentioned earlier she was involved in a dispute at a establishment in the Mahogany Street area with some people and as she left from the establishment that is at a distance that she was shot several times."
Reporter
"So he was one of the people?"
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"He was one of the persons that she had an argument at the restaurant."
Reporter
"Is there a reason why it took weeks to make an arrest?"
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"He was on the run."
Welch is now facing charges of attempted murder, dangerous harm, and use of deadly means of harm.
