"A joint police-forestry operation was held in the San Felipe village vicinity in the Toledo District. Upon arrival to the area officers discovered six San Felipe residents involved in illegal logging. As a result, some 3 thousand feet of lumber was confiscated however those persons were not detained. As I believe, forestry is conducting further investigations into this matter."
The 3,000 feet of lumber is Santa Maria - broken down into 100 lengths of 30 feet each.
The Forestry Department says it is still preparing its case.
