Man Found Murdered on San Pedro
posted (September 24, 2018)
There's been another murder on San Pedro - and like the many that have proceeded it, this one could be drug related.

23 year old fisherman Miguel Arroyo left home on the Tenth September at 2:00 pm to go to a nearby store. But, he never came home.

His family started searching and found him dead yesterday - a good distance from home, with his head smashed in:

ASP Alejandro Cowo- OC, CIB
"The family, as we know, they have been searching along with police in different locations within San Pedro. On that day they ventured across the lagoon and that is where they met up with the decomposed body. On Saturday, just after 1 pm, San Pedro police visited an area about a mile and half the lagoon behind San Pedro and about 75 ft inside of the bushes they observed the decomposed body of a male person. The body was identified as that of Miguel Arroyo Hernandez who had been missing since the 10th of September 2018. He was identified by a family member because of the tattoos that he had on his chest. An onsite post-mortem was conducted on the body and at the conclusion the doctor certified the cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head."

Jules Vasquez - Reporter
"Do you all know anyone who had a reason to want him dead?"

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Well, the police had a suspect and that person was detained but as I mentioned in the previous interview that there was nothing that we could link him with. But we know that he had some kind of problem with some individuals before his disappearance."

Jules Vasquez
"Do you all know the nature of the problem? Was it a personal dispute? Drugs dispute? Criminal dispute?"

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"It is something that we are looking at this moment Mr. Vasquez."

Police suspect that someone in the island's underworld may have felt that Arroyo came across a kilo of product - which belonged to someone else.
