It was a rough holiday weekend on the highways - and out our next three stories about road traffic fatalities. We turn now to the north where a young mother was killed in a hit and run on Independence eve. 22 year old Caroline Riverol was walking across the road at the Santa Martha- Carmelita junction when she was run over by a truck that didn't stop. Police told us more:
ACP Joseph Myvett- Head of National Crimes Investigation Branch "Our investigation so far is that she probably was in the process of crossing the highway when she was knocked down by a truck which failed to stop. At this point we do not have any concrete leads as to where that vehicle might be so we are seeking the public's assistance in this matter in order to try and resolve this issue."
