A man from Santa Elena, Cayo is on life support after he was shot to the head. It happened on Saturday night after a fight between two groups. Trapp was in the middle of that fight - and later that night when he was at home cooling off, two masked men pulled up to kill him. Police told us more:..

"On the 21st of September sometime around 8:55 pm, police were called out to the hot-point area of Santa Elena town at a residence where they learnt that some six persons were socializing and during the process two persons road up on a motorcycle, one of whom got off the cycle and fired several shots towards the direction of where the persons were socializing and one of those shots caught Mr. Harvey Trapp to the left ear. As a result he was transported to the San Ignacio Community Hospital and later to the K.H.M.H. where he is now on a mechanical ventilator and he is in a critical condition."

"I am told he identified the shooter before he went into a coma. Are you all looking for a particular suspect? Have you all received that identification?"

"Yes that information was also given to us however the police is aware of a previous incident earlier that night sometime around seven p.m. So far there are two persons in custody pending this investigation."

"What was the nature of this dispute earlier?"

"It was our understanding that it was a fight between two groups."
Again, police say he was shot in the ear, but he was actually shot to the head.
