Belmopan police are preparing charges for the attempted kidnapper who they caught yesterday. An ID parade was conducted today, where, we are told, the suspect was positively identified by all witnesses. Now, the police are about to charge him for attempted child abduction. Charges could be laid by later tonight.
As we reported, on Tuesday in the area of Egoli Estate - a man in a white van tried to abduct an 8 year old - who was accompanied by his siblings. They fought off the attacker - who drove off.
But, the kids, aged 14, 12, and 8 identified the brightly coloured van - and this is the vehicle police impounded yesterday. It has Belmopan plates and bears a resemblance to an ice cream truck. We'll keep following this story.
