He is 29 year old Belizean American Lalman Logan - he's the one who had rented the room at the Central Park Hotel - and he was arraigned for murder today. He is a salesman from St. Charles, Missouri.

Police gave us an update on the case this morning:

Insp. Wilfredo Ferrufino, C.I.B., Eastern Division
"On Friday 28th September, police received information of a body at the Central Park Hotel on Barrier Reef in San Pedro. As a result police visited the hotel and in room #14 they discovered the lifeless body of a male person. He was identified to be that of Christopher Meighan, a 21 year old chef of Caye Caulker. Police investigation has revealed so far that Mr. Meighan has entered the room along with one Lalman Logan and Rufino Hernandez sometime around 9:30 on the 27th September. He was discovered on the 28th September with multiple stab wounds to his body and that investigation has resulted in the detention of Lalman Logan. On the 30th September arrested and charged for the murder of Mr. Meighan. We are actively seeking Mr. Rufino Hernandez as a person of interest in regards to this matter."

Meighan's throat was slit and he was found between two beds.

Logan has been remanded for murder, and reports say the other suspect - Rufino Hernandez from San Pedro Town was caught this evening in Ladyville. It is expected that he will also be charged for murder.
